An advertising video created for the Torrey phone case. The product was provided by Lander, a travel and technology brand. This project was set up by CMS Distribution. Client requested for a 2 minutes length promotional video for the specific product.

Deconstruction

This is a branding and videography project designed for Lander - Torrey phone case. The project was developed by CMS distribution, Peri has worked on the video part with the aim to promote a storytelling of the specific product. Starting from researching about the company from its background and design style to how they approach audience via social media platform. Once it's been defined, Peri immediately started the visual planning including content creation, filming angle, filming methodology and most importantly what will be the key message of this video.

The following images represents Peri's design process on this particular project. Working from filming to editing, it's been a brilliant and fun project to showcase Peri's ability to create promotional short film.

Story Telling

Started from researching about the brand style and themes of the products, Peri decides to produce a travel style video to tell the story about the Torrey phone case. She started from visual planning. In which, she planned all the location for film shooting, acting, camera angles and also drone filming angles. After the filming day, she then started to match a suitable soundtrack to match the scenes. The project has also involved a lot of video editing and creating visual effects.

Behind
the scene

This is a scene of the product spinning on the ice cube. It was not an easy task. Peri has ordered a prop phone to fit the phone case. She has put the phone case into a box with full of water and put it into the freezer for a night. She then started filming this scene in the dark room on the next day. It was not easy to stabilise the ice cube on the spinning wheel. Luckily, the angel of the phone case was perfect for the scene. It was a fun experience filming this shoot. This scene proof that the phone case is waterproof, and even ice-proof. It still looks brand new after the experience. In this project, Peri has filmed the phone case in multiple location. Edited them all together which has made a brilliant story between the user and the phone case. The resulting work was fantastic, and it's been published on CMS Distribution social media site.
